Executive Director of Greenpeace UK, John Sauven, was denied entry to Indonesia. Greenpeace believes systematic efforts are continually driven by companies responsible for the destruction of forests.

HE walked slowly, pulling his trolley bag behind him, following a 16 hour flight from London. As he was leaving the immigration checkpoint at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, John Sauven told Tempo:"There's nothing we can do."Sauven, the Executive Director of Greenpeace UK, had just been refused entry into Indonesia by immigration officers. Officers chose not to comment when Sauven inquired as to why he was denied entry.
