Depok Mayor Nur Mahmudi Ismail seems to have a knack for courting controversy. The Justice and Prosperity Party (PKS) legislator recently issued a policy aimed at forcing people to abandon eating rice, for one day every week. This policy is to be primarily enforced every Tuesday within the canteens of all state administration offices falling within his jurisdiction. The policy became effective on February 14.
