President Abdurrahman Wahid's shakeup of the National Police has brought results, albeit only small ones. For example the events of last Monday on the Police Field at National Police HQ, South Jakarta. The clock had yet to reach 7am when there were three shrill trumpet blasts. On schedule, National Police deputy chief Comr. Gen. Chaerudin Ismail was about to lead the rally. Police personnel thronged to the football field in front of Police HQ.
