The joint combat aircraft manufacturing project with South Korea has been postponed. Indonesia has already contributed substantial funding.

It was minus 10 degrees Celsius in Seoul, but discussions between an Indonesian delegation and South Korean defense officials over the fate of a joint aircraft project remained heated. On December 10, 2012, the two teams met three times to discuss the project, which had been conceived in 2006. However, they failed to reach an agreement.
