Promotion Brokers in Police Offices

The National Police Headquarters released officers who had been caught trying to bribe their way into a promotion. They tried to keep the incident under wraps.

TWO days after they were detained, a pair of officers who had carried Rp200 million into the main building of the National Police were released. "There was no bribery because the money hadn't yet been delivered," National Police public relations official Brig. Gen. Ronny Franky Sompie said. The officers were let go on Sunday two weeks ago.
