Before stepping into the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building on Thursday last week, Jusuf Kalla joked, "I don't know why the KPK invited me today on the fifth anniversary of the Bank Century scandal."
Bank Indonesia's (BI) Financial System Stability Forum (KSSK) decided to save the failing Bank Century on November 21, 2008. "It was exactly five years ago," said Kalla, then Indonesia's vice president.
