Learning about Peace from Waiyame

The village of Waiyame is aptly named, because the word means the water of life. Only in Waiyame do people continue to experience coolness and serenity. There is no anger, and no one runs amok. No life has been lost in a war. Here life goes on as it should, flowing gently like water. Waiyame, home to about 5,000 people, is the only village in Ambon, Maluku, that seems invulnerable to the flames of conflict.
