LAST week, Bambang Wuryanto accepted an invitation to attend a People's Consultative Assembly's (MPR) deliberation meeting on behalf of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) faction. The party's secretary received the invitation at 6.30pm, saying he was caught unawares. "It was very sudden," he said last week.
