In addition to requesting for a new building and higher foreign visit allowance, members of the House of Representatives (DPR) also demanded an increase in aspiration allowance for 2018. Starting last year, each DPR member is entitled to Rp 525 million of annual aspiration allowance to cover the costs of meeting and listening to constituents aspirations. For next year, the DPR proposed the figure to be increased to Rp 700 million.
