Six months before his time to retire from the bench, Constitutional Court (MK) Chief Justice Arief Hidayat wrote to the House of Representatives (DPR) to prepare fit-and-proper tests for candidates to become constitutional court judges. Arief, 61, said that the goal of his request was so that the DPR could choose candidates faster, "according to law," he said last week.
