LAST Monday, the House of Representative passed the revision to Law No. 17/2014 on Legislative Institutions (MD3). The passing of the law was not without protest, as two House factions-the National Democratic (NasDem) Party and the United Development Party (PPP)-walked out of the plenary session. "We found underlying constitutional issues in the MD3 law’s revision," said PPP faction member Reni Marlinawati.
