From the air, the dozens of holes from the former coal mine appeared like puddles with brownish water. Located nearby the forests at the Serongga village in Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, the vegetation had been stripped around the former coal mines owned by Baramega Citra Mulia Persada. Traces of mining can also be seen from the coal fragments by the mining holes.
