In the end, a split in the United Development Party (PPP) could not be avoided. Last Sunday, after having argued for several months with the Hamzah Haz camp, politicians loyal to Zainuddin M.Z. said that they were breaking away. They then unveiled their new political party: PPP-Reform. Its declaration was fully supported by Zainuddin, the 'Preacher to a million Muslims.' "Now I am going to concentrate on taking care of this newborn baby," he said.
