A Step Back by the Fact-finding Team in Novel’s Case

THE Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is disappointed with results from the Police fact-finding team tasked to identify the perpetrator of the attack against Novel Baswedan.

KPK Deputy Chairman Laode Mohammad Syarif said that the team, who was formed by Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian and has been working since January, should have been able to reveal the persons who attacked Novel with acid. “It is no surprise that the KPK is let down because this case is an attack against the institution,” said Syarif on Thursday, June 19.
