Akbar Tandjung's fate is in the balance, along with the nation's. The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has not yet officially called him for questioning. But accusations of corruption are growing against him since President Abdurrahman Wahid gave the green light for him to be interrogated, as is necessary in Indonesia if prosecutors want to question legislators.
And Akbar is not just any legislator, he is the speaker of the House of Representatives
