ON Friday morning, April 15, a group of people from the Papuan People’s Assembly (MRP) met with Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md. at his office in Jakarta. They asked the government to delay the division plan to create three new provinces in Papua. They also gave Mahfud a letter for President Joko Widodo, a letter containing the same demand.
