Swift Code of Conduct Revision to Remove Officials

The revision of the DPR’s Code of Conduct is suspected to be used to remove several officials. Constitutional Court judges and the Bank Indonesia Governor are suspected to be the targets.

WITH a tone of frustration, Firman Soebagyo urged the Chair of the House of Representatives’ (DPR) Legislative Body, Bob Hasan, to invite members of the House Ethics Council (MKD) on Monday afternoon, February 3, 2025. The Golkar Party legislator wanted to hear directly from the MKD, which had requested a revision of the House Code of Conduct. However, no MKD representatives attended.
