Composers and singers are raising concerns about the royalties they receive for their songs. Many are refusing to pay for the songs they use commercially.

FOR the past three months, Tubagus Armand Maulana has been troubled. The lead vocalist of the music group GIGI is worried about the emergence of a direct license scheme, a royalty payment system advocated by several composers.
