His nicknames reflect his obese physique. Fat Edy Suryatno is also known by his close friends as Edy Sumo—perhaps because his body resembles that of a Sumo wrestler. Edy, 28, of Chinese descent and born in Jakarta, has been cooped up behind police bars since September 11, accused of being involved in smuggling used luxury cars to destinations all over Indonesia.
