Maluku governor Saleh Latuconsina issued a proclamation. He banned the print and electronic media, local and national, from reporting the activities of the Maluku Sovereignty Front (FKM). The civil emergency authority in Maluku also banned foreigners, including journalists and correspondents, from traveling to the region in April.

The governor is working hard to calm his region down, or so his supporters claim. He does now want his efforts to rest
