A LOT of dust was flying around the official residence of the vice president on Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, last Thursday. Workers were busy renovating the house, which within this week will be occupied by M. Yusuf Kalla, the elected vice president. The previous occupant, Hamzah Haz, nearing his end of tenure, immediately prepared to leave his official residence, to go back to his private house on Jalan Tegalan, East Jakarta.
