WAILING sirens accompanied the sound of police cars as they roared through the deserted streets of Denpasar early Tuesday morning. The convoy was speeding off from a police station headed for Ngurah Rai Airport. Had another bomb exploded? Not this time. They were headed to the airport to pick up four suspects in the bombings which took place on Jalan Legian in Kuta, Bali, on October 12, 2002.
