ELECTRICITY is now being supplied in some of the cities flattened by the earthquake and tsunami in Aceh. Communications with the outside world, too, have begun to normalize. Cellular phones can again be used. The Iskandar Muda Airport has been pushed into operating 24 hours a day, both for landings of commercial flights, as well as for aircraft bringing in aid.
The port of Meulaboh, where ships were initially unable to dock, can now be operated.
