THE reputation of Nusakambangan, the prison island in Cilacap Regency, Central Java, may soon be enhanced further. After housing "celebrity" residents such as `Bob' Hasan and Tommy Suharto, the island may soon house infamous residents of a different category: terrorist figures. A new prison is under construction on the island in an area of tall grassland covering some 3 hectares. The site is behind the Batu Prison.
