THE middle-aged woman, a legislative candidate from a minor political party in Papua named Ludwina, looked worried. Early Monday morning last week, she flew from Papua to Jakarta with the sole purpose of submitting her credentials as a legislative candidate to the General Elections Commission (KPU).
