New DPR-BI Scandal

HOUSE of Representatives (DPR) member of the 1999-2004 period, Agus Condro Prayitno, claimed he received Rp500 million from Bank Indonesia (BI) in the office of Banking & Finance Commission head Emir Moeis in June 2004. "In ten BII traveler's checks with each worth Rp50 million," Agus told Tempo last Wednesday.

The money has nothing to do with the case of the BI money awarded to the DPR members now under investigation by the Corruption Eradication Co
