Tribal Lands Returned To Locals

Last week the Constitutional Court repealed several phrases and wordings in the Forestry Law No. 41/1999. The decree will have an affect on the government's jurisdiction over state and tribal forests. For instance, Article 1 Paragraph 6 now reads, "Tribal forests are forests that exist within the jurisdiction of a given customary law."
