THERE is a new phenomenon regarding public opinion of individuals. Whoever is "mistreated" by somebody stronger will attract public sympathy.
Because the starting point for this trend was the attack by the dangdut music "industry" on singer Inul Daratista—who went on to achieve widespread popularity—it seems only fitting to refer to this as the "Inul Syndrome".
