Few people know why a doctor’s handwriting is so bad. If time is a factor, there are many other professions that require one to write hurriedly because of time pressure. If confidentiality is the reason, are medical prescriptions and the prognoses of medical diagnoses confidential? Certainly not. Why, then, is a doctor’s handwriting, which is important to a patient’s health, illegible, whether deliberate or not?
