The Judicial Commission is intent on cleaning up the Supreme Court, but producing a government regulation to re-screen the judges could be problematic.

The Judicial Commissions aim of purging the Supreme Court of bad and corrupt judges is good and essential. But not everybody agrees with the way this is to be done, namely re-screening the current justices, particularly if the process needs the Presidents help in issuing a governmental regulation in lieu of a law (Perpu). The opponents of this move include Supreme Court Chief Justice Bagir Manan himself.
