The Ugly Side of the Anti-Prostitution Bylaw

Tangerang town has implemented a law banning prostitution. Apart from being discriminatory and open to multiple interpretations, it also contradicts the Criminal Code.

Several members of the Tangerang Town Council have indicated that Bylaw (Perda) No. 8/2005 on the Banning of Prostitution should be revised. One of them even burst out that anything can be changed except for the holy texts.
