LIKE soccer, the celebration of democracy can be a wonderful thing if the rules are followed. The winners can jump for joy to their hearts content, but the losers should accept their defeat. Respecting opponents is the same as respecting the game itself. The same is true of respecting political opponents; it is as important as respecting democracy.
