To discipline judges, the Supreme Court recently issued Guidelines for Judges Behavior. Why not a Code of Ethics?

GUIDELINES for Judges Behavior was issued at the end of May. It runs to 36 pages, and is fairly detailed. In fact it is so detailed, that it specifies the items a judge may accept, and what he must refuse. Cellular phones and electronic equipment, for example, must be refused, but a cake in a box is acceptable.
This list of what may or may not be accepted has led to the Guidelines for Judges Behavior. And is the list of items based on their rupiah
