HE has been gone 10 years. On the night of August 13, 1996, a man knocked on the door of Fuad Mohammad Syafruddins home, beat the journalist senseless with an iron pipe. Udin fell to the floor, covered in blood and died three days later in Yogyakartas Bethesda Hospital. He was buried as Indonesia celebrated the 51st anniversary of its independence.

Does anyone still remember the story of his death? Apart from one book written by Jose Manuel Tesoro
