SUKANTO Tanoto's letter to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was very contradictory. In the letter, dated January 7, 2008, a copy of which was obtained by Tempo last week, the owner of the Asian Agri group of businesses broached a tax problem which he is facing.
