Exaggerated reporting turned the three men convicted of the Bali bombings into “heroes”. The victims’ side of the story should have also been covered.

THE three men should not be given the celebrity treatment. They are the people most responsible for the bombings in Kuta, Bali on October 2002, which killed 202 people and injured another 209. All three—Imam Samudra, Mukhlas and Amrozi—were found guilty in a court of law and sentenced to death. On Sunday, after unexplained delays, the authorities finally carried out the executions.
