The Attorney General needs to be more sensitive in appointing corruption watchers. The case of Kemas and Salim must not be repeated.

WHATEVER the reason, the suspension of Kemas Yahya and Muhammad Salim as coordinators of corruption oversight at the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) is commendable. The suspension, which happened after the media published criticism and public protests, was something of a relief. But it also showed that something is wrong at the AGO.

There is nothing we can do now. The stone has been thrown, the words spoken. The suspension has not erased facts
