WITH considerable concern, it must be said that the coalition-seeking exercise in the lead-up towards the presidential election in July looks more like a cattle auction than dignified political dealings. As is common among buyers and sellers, the parties are negotiating solely for the high ground. The most important issue has already been downgraded, namely building a better Indonesia.
