THE appointment of Mochamad Tjiptardjo as Tax Director-General replacing Darmin Nasution brings great relief and optimism. We are relieved because Tjiptardjo is an insider at the Tax Directorate General who stood shoulder to shoulder with Darmin in implementing measures against tax evaders.
