EFFORTS to eradicate corruption in Indonesia have reached a critical stage. Three leaders of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have been declared suspects by the police. The chairman, Antasari Azhar, has been in detention for almost three months, charged with being the mastermind of a murder. The other two, Chandra Hamzah and Bibit Samad Riyanto, were declared suspects two weeks ago by the police.
