THE government’s plan to regulate the procedures for wiretapping could weaken the authority of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). If it is allowed to continue, the plan to produce a government regulation on wiretaps only shows that the government fails to see that corruption in this nation has reached a critical level. Unconventional methods are needed to eradicate it. Wiretaps are an important breakthrough that must be continued.
