The statue of the young Obama recently erected at Menteng Park has sparked protests. The Rp100 million statue should stand at his former school in Jakarta.

JAKARTA residents have gained a new park. It is strategically located in the middle of the elite Menteng district, which is why it is known as Menteng Park. But a newly-erected statue in the park has provoked differing views.
