THE statement by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Deputy Chairman Mochammad Jasin that the court was responsible for producing Nunun Nurbaetie as a witness is very worrying. Two indications come out of this statement. First, that the KPK is reneging on its responsibility to take Nunun to court; and second that the KPK has “thrown in the towel” by giving up on efforts to produce Nunun, the wife of former National Deputy Chief of Police
