PERHAPS there would have been no need to take Alterina Hofan to court if the police had studied the Law on Human Rights. Two paragraphs in articles 9 and 10 of section III in this law state that every person has the right to a life that is peaceful, safe, happy and materially and spiritually satisfying. Every person also has the right to establish a family through a lawful marriage, in accordance with the law.
