IT is time to reexamine the concessions given to several private companies by the state in the Bung Karno Stadium complex. The “leasing” of state land in Senayan, Jakarta, does not provide satisfactory profits. Imagine, from land worth Rp50 trillion—according to a Development Finance Controller report—the state receives only Rp15 billion a year, or Rp1.25 billion a month.
