The President should not trust the police with the Gayus Tambunan case. The KPK has the authority to take over.

AS if swimming upstream, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has chosen to continue trusting the police in seeking a solution to the Gayus Halomoan Tambunan case, who is being charged with tax fraud and possibly involved with the tax mafia. The immediate impression one gets is that the President is naive, or that he is closing his eyes to the decrepit state of the National Police force. It will be very strange if this does not set alarm bells ring
