BRIBERY in the world of football seems never-ending, like the tales from the One Thousand and One Nights fable. When the football league was once known as Galatama (short for the Main Football League), there were already frequent reports of players and referees being paid off and of games being fixed. It is truly worrisome that the level of these unsporting practices has not declined one bit. In fact, they are on the increase.
