A Test or a Trap?

THE Antasari Azhar case is both a test and a trap for the Judicial Commission. The commission has every right to be suspicious of the judges who sentenced the suspect to 18 years in jail. This was a courageous verdict because the evidence of Antasari’s involvement was not that convincing. But the judicial oversight commission will be sidetracked if it attempts to assess such a verdict.
