THERE is no justification for members of the Indonesian Military to use live rounds against civilians, in this case, farmers at Urut Sewu, in Kebumen, Central Java. This only adds to the long list of 'sins'-committed by soldiers, when they turn their guns against ordinary people over land disputes.
The farmers of Urut Sewu believe they are entitled to the land because they have been working the land for decades. Conversely, the army claims the land,
