THE theft of money from the accounts of PT Elnusa and the government of Batu Bara regency, North Sumatra, at the Jababeka, Bekasi branch of Bank Mega is indicative that something was not right with the bank’s oversight system. Although the people responsible have been arrested, attention must not end here. Bank Mega should immediately take steps to avoid a repeat of this incident.
